CBA June Progress Update

Hello everyone! This is your June update.
Here is the list of the news items I would like to share with all of you in dot points:

Tutorial Videos
We have some good news and some bad news, but the good outweighs the bad. The good news is that we have found a way to reduce the production time for the tutorial videos. We were originally going to release one video a week, but for 1 intro and 8 premade characters & 1 monster guide videos, it would take a whopping 10 weeks to produce. After a bit of discussion and replanning, we have found a way to speed up the process to nearly half the time.

We are not ready to release the video to the general public because newcomers would be confused if we didn’t have the other videos to accompany it. So we’re waiting for all the videos to be created before we release them to the public. The bad news is that the rest of the videos will drop mid to late June, but they will come in a big completed batch.
Another good news is that we have negotiated a deal with our voiceover person, Nick, that’s beneficial for both parties. We will continue to use him for future tutorial videos beyond the beginner’s guide, so you will have a professional voiceover artist for more tutorial content in the future. But they will have to wait until we have finished the extra missions package.

Additional Missions
Due to the intensive production schedule of the tutorial videos, we are delaying the release of the additional missions to late June or early July.
Book Production
Here is a quick update on the production of the physical copies of CBA. I have signed the first pages of the signed copies of CBA and sent them to the printers to be bound once the books are ready to print. We are just waiting for the book to get its ISBN certificate and a few other little things to be sorted before we can start printing.
Backerkit Charge & Address Lock
We have just started the process of charging your cards from the locked orders. We will be locking your nominated addresses by June 24th. So you can still change the address before it’s locked.
Future Release Schedule
The following is the planned schedule of releases. Due to the uncertain nature of the project, we have not finalized the release dates.
- Mid to Late June - First tutorial video release.
- Late June - Additional missions release.

Collab Monster Content Revision
The Collab Monster Content has been revised. Various discovered errors have been fixed and it’s available to all existing backers through Backerkit.
Orders to be Locked.
We will be locking down the orders at the start of next week. We have been sending reminders to those who have not filled out the survey yet. If you haven’t received the survey, please comment and I will send you an alternate link to the survey.
Future Release Schedule
The following is the planned schedule of releases. We are currently hard at work creating the video tutorials.
- Mid May - First tutorial video release.
- Late May - Additional missions release.

Karakuri Construct Monster Set Released!

Collab Monster Content
The Collab Monster Content is only available to all existing backers through Backerkit. They’re based on chess pieces and it comes with a special rule that allows you to play them according to regular chess rule against your PCs, while your PCs still use regular CBA rule. If they’re clever enough, they will use the enemy’s limitations to outsmart them. This monster set is co-created with Zedrin. You can find his youtube channel here:

Shipping Cost Finalized.
The shipping cost for all backers have been calculated. It includes VAT and various taxes from respective countries. Thanks to our publisher, our shipping cost for individual books is within estimate, and for many of you, it is actually lower! Of course, for larger packs, such as the Hero and Deluxe Edition, they will be more expensive than the individual books.
The shipping cost is attached to your survey and you can pay for your shipping cost there. A reminder will be sent to all backers in a couple of days to let you access your survey form if you lost the previous mail.

Koi Siren Lifeform Released!

Koi Siren Lifeform
The Koi Siren collab lifeform is part of Blain Simple's Silver's Monster Girl Manual and it is only available to all existing backers through Backerkit. While parts of the lore have been changed to fit CBA's setting Blaine's creative vision is preserved.

Shipping Cost To Be Finalized Soon
We are finalizing our Shipping Cost and the good news is that after getting in contact with our publisher, we have estimated that all our costs will be within our original estimate. But many of you will be receiving a LOWER shipping rate than originally estimated.

The following is the planned schedule of releases. Due to the uncertain nature of the project, we have not set exact dates for the releases too far ahead:
April 29 - Collab monsters by Zedrin release.
May- First tutorial video release.
May - Additional missions release.

The Painter Collab Class
The Painter collab class is only available to all existing backers through Backerkit only. It is part of the Channeler discipline. The Painter class is one of the many playable “Artists” from Brother Ming's boardgame: Re;Act. You can find the game here:

Physical Product Preorder Closing
Just to remind everyone, we will close the preorder of our physical books at the end of April 15th. If you haven’t ordered the physical book and accessories yet, please do so before the cut-off date.
Future Release Schedule
The following is the planned schedule of releases. Due to the uncertain nature of the project, we have not set exact dates for the releases too far ahead:
- April 22 - Koi Siren (Blaine Simple) collab Lifeform release.
- April 29 - Collab monsters by Zedrin release.
- May- First tutorial video release.
