Some of you Heroic Edition backers who have been receiving the signed copies of Cloudbreaker Alliance first might be wondering where the tokens and acrylic set are. Don’t worry, they are coming, they're just being delivered separately.
I understand that it is extremely frustrating for everyone to be waiting for your backed items for so long. In fact, I feel completely the same way. That’s why I brought this issue to our publisher and went all the way to the highest person in charge, Eric Price, the President of Japanime Games. Eric agrees that we need to set things right, and he has the following to say to everyone. (In his own words)
It is unfortunate that heads have rolled due to this setback (figuratively), but the most important thing is that we can set this right and finally deliver all your rewards.
As you may have read from Eric’s statement, yes, we are working on a future expansion! Cloudbreaker Alliance will continue to grow. Your time, emotional, and monetary investment in CBA will not be wasted because we will continue to support this system and make it even better.

Lifeform Design Contest
Cloudbreaker Alliance will be running a community Lifeform Design Contest on Feb 17 - 24, 2025.
Lifeform is a player option in CBA that represents their character’s physical form. Other 🎲Tabletop RPG🎲 games may use the terms Race or Species. But since Lifeforms are not necessarily biological, you can invent whatever outlandish creatures your imagination can conjure.
You don’t need to know how to draw, do maths, or know much about Tabletop RPGs to join. You only need to show your creativity and writing ability.✍️
Winning designs will be featured on the Official CBA site. Keep in mind that we’re doing this for fun, and no rewards are provided. We may offer rewards in the future once we have sorted out the logistics and turned this contest into a regular event.
The entries will be collected using a Google form, which will be posted on the day of the contest. All entries will be ranked through 2 streams, judge decision and popular vote. A set of curated entries will be collected and the public and vote on them.

We are running a survey regarding the next campaign we are planning to launch later in 2025, Citadel of the Winged Sun. This book is an adventure campaign with at least 12 sessions worth of play (1 cour anime). We are also running a survey regarding this campaign to gauge your interest and the possibility of making it compatible with D&D 5e Rules.

The GM Secret Missions are objectives the GM can achieve to unlock secret information related to the campaign. To achieve this objective, the GM must manipulate the PCs to do certain tasks. The uncovered secrets may help or hinder the PCs, so the players need to weigh their options even if they smell something fishy.

Book Fulfillment & Delay
Our publisher, Japanime Games has been hard at work fulfilling orders of the physical books. Many of our backers have received the book, but we have a hitch when it comes to the production of the extra physical pieces of the Heroic Edition. There were issues with our first manufacturer, so we had to find another one. We’re sorry for the delay, but we are really laser-focused on delivering the best products to the hands of our backers.
We have the production sample from the new manufacturer for the Heroic Edition Extras.
To make up for the inconvenience, we are adding a box for the tokens and also a pair of dice (2d6). The idea is that once you get the box, you only need paper and pencil to start playing.
Our publisher is hoping that we will produce enough pieces by late February and airship them to the warehouse ASAP so that they can fulfill our Heroic Edition backers’ pledge.
Regarding the Deluxe Edition, we will be sending out the unique Deluxe Edition components separately. They will likely arrive earlier before the Physical Book and Heroic Edition bundle.

Book Fulfillment
We have received confirmation that our publisher Japanime Games have started the fulfillment process. Some backers should be receiving their copies of the Core Rulebook by now. Our publisher is hard at work going through our list of backers.
The extras for the Deluxe Editions will be sent to our backers in separate delivery packages, so they may arrive at different times.
Future Project
I will be releasing information on what we have been working on and our plans for 2025 in our mid-December update. I will be happy to discuss it with everyone on discord and also send out a survey to gauge your interest regarding the various contents we will be offering.
Tutorial Videos
The Magic & Spells video and Items & Equipments video are experiencing a slight delay, but they’re coming. Some of our community members have discovered some inaccuracies in our previous videos. We have gone ahead to make those changes, and the revised videos will be uploaded together with the Magic and Spells video once it’s done.
